Stephen G.

Founder/CEO

After seven years on active duty in the US Marine Corps (’01 – ’07), Stephen transitioned into the Intelligence Community as contractor support to NGA’s advanced 3D geospatial research and development efforts in InnoVision (now NGA Research). Out of his element as a civilian but eager to please, he jumped at every opportunity to be helpful, learn, grow, and add value for his customers and former employer.

Over his career, Stephen was fortunate to spend time as an airborne sensor operator for multiple field collections, testing campaigns, and OCONUS deployments supporting operational demonstrations for the first foliage penetration (FOPEN) applications of gimbaled LIDAR systems. He supported various humanitarian and disaster relief (HADR) efforts and begrudgingly became a proficient data processor and analyst along the way. Stephen also helped establish the NSG Test Range in Corbin, VA, for advanced ISR systems and data evaluation. Lastly and most significantly, Stephen has been instrumental in developing, integrating, and shepherding the adoption of the now NSG Enterprise solution for terrain/elevation, and non-standard 3D geospatial data storage, discovery, and dissemination.

Applying his mission experience with customer/community needs in support of national defense was the foundation for Grover Consulting Services (GCS) in 2013 and continues to be as GCS Geospatial remains focused on uniting the US Federal Geospatial Enterprise for the future.

Stephen holds a BA in International Business with a minor in Spanish from Rollins College and received an MsBA from Boston University Metropolitan College while on active duty and stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC.

When not connecting the geospatial dots, Stephen loves spending time with his wife Ashley and his two children figuring out their next adventure, coaching youth lacrosse, skiing, and boating.
